When I first qualified as a personal trainer I used to think that I simply helped people to get fitter, healthier, to lose some weight and of course I inevitably do these things but what I’m best at and what I really love is a client with what they feel is an impossible challenge. This is when I do my best work and it’s where I get the most incredible results with my clients.My Total Body Breakthrough System has enabled hundreds of people to achieve their impossible.

about_2The reason I’m so passionate about what I do is because I understand what it’s like to be faced with those seemingly impossible obstacles. I’ve personally been through the mill so I know exactly what it’s like but I also know what it’s like and what it takes to come out the other side and be successful.

I’ve had serious injuries from the sports I used to play and I’ve heard the words, “Jamie, you won’t be able to do what you used to do.” Those aren’t great words to hear. But I’m lucky because I’m stubborn and persistent enough and very driven to succeed and so I’ve never let words like “You Can’t” or “You Won’t” get in the way.

After being badly injured in my early twenties during my time playing Rugby, I went on to set new challenges for myself, regardless of the injuries I had. I chose get into Triathlons, Duathlons and distance running. So although I was physically broken, through pure determination and dedication, I still managed to complete the London Marathon in 3 hours 15 minutes, the London Duathlon in 1 hour 46 mins and complete my fastest Triathlon in 2 hours 22 mins.

You’re getting the picture here – I love a new challenge! So I went on to set further challenges like doing the 3 Peaks Challenge. I completed this twice and managed to complete it in 18 hours 53 minutes.

With all of these new challenges I was surrounded by voices, including my own, saying “You’re crazy! You can’t do that.” My partner thinks I’m slightly nuts too though I know she understands how valuable this mindset has been in our lives. (We wouldn’t have conceived our daughter without it but that’s another story.) But I wanted to know what I was capable of and I learned a lot about myself but also about what the body can do and what it takes to achieve results.

One of my favourite mantras is “I can, I will, Just watch Me! This is how I live my life.And it’s this little mantra that I use for my clients too.

You know how it is when you really want to do something and even though you really want to do it, there’s a part of you that doubts at times whether you can; doubts whether it’s really possible. I’ll tell you now – I have enough belief and energy (along with the expertise) to hold your vision for you and to fight for your impossible, especially at those times when you are struggling.

This is what I give to my clients. I take them through a process of training I call the Total Body Breakthrough System which helps them rediscover their inner confidence and strength whilst achieving incredible results with their health and fitness.

I love watching my clients experience their breakthroughs; to see someone who is finally able to exercise pain-free, or someone who can fit into their favourite clothes again, or who finally gets a good night’s sleep without the help of pills, and has the energy to do everything they want to do. Seeing these transformations in my clients is phenomenally rewarding and inspires me to reach as many people as I can.

I love their commitment and the energy they bring to the sessions. I admire their determination and refusal to give up or to make excuses. I love seeing their expressions when they’ve achieved something they thought was out of their reach. It’s the best feeling in the world!
